A wonderful double bill of L7 and Tacocat shared the stage at the Showbox in November. The recently reunited Los Angeles grunge band L7 headlined with their original lineup! L7: Pretend We’re Dead, a movie all about L7, should be out soon. And for you Tacocat fans: they play a DJ set on New Year’s Eve at the Narwhal.

All Time Low made its second visit to the Seattle area in October. We had them here twice!!! Awesome! The band’s Back to the Future Hearts Tour, including Florida’s Sleeping With Sirens and Japan’s ONE OK ROCK, came to Kent’s ShoWare Center (that’s just outside Seattle, if you don’t know the area). 2015 was a big year for ATL, finding them charting number one in the States, and doing very well the world over. Baltimore, Maryland might be the group’s home, but 2016 has them starting up the tour machine again for February dates in Great Britain. Also on the Kent bill was Neck Deep, from Wrexham, UK.

AWOLNATION‘s new album, Run, hit number 17 on the Billboard Charts this year. This fact showed how much the band increased its fanbase from that number 84 spot back in 2011. Now, it’s not all about the numbers, but man! Great job! And it proves that bands, such as AWOLNATION, with sounds outside of set genre conventions can do very well. Fans in Seattle packed the Paramount Theatre at the end of October to catch the group’s set. Meg Myers opened.

Why You Want to Listen: Excellent punk song from Sydney, Australia’s the Royal Headache. A band whose members go by the names Law, Shogun, Joe and Shortty (okay, Joe’s not so peculiar), has to be good. And that’s the truth. Track comes off the Royal Headache’s second release, High.

“I was born in 96 and I like pie.” That’s a quote from Soren Bryce, a young Texan singer-songwriter. We support an endorsement for pie, and recommend Bryce. After moving to Los Angeles at the age of 14, Bryce has a wide variety of music interests; Bryce mentions twenty one pilots as an artist she’d like to collaborate with. That would be cool!
