Photos – Dancing on the Valentine Presents: An Art Auction for Leukemia @ Emerald City Orchids
On Saturday, January 12th, Dancing on the Valentine held an exhibit of art we all can bid on (it’s actually quite affordable). And it will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The event, held at Emerald City Orchids, will be followed by the 8th annual Dancing on the Valentine, a concert to take place on Saturday, February 9th at Neumos. The show will feature musicians, including The Redwood Plan and Head Like A Kite, all performing their versions of songs by The Cure. Proceeds will also benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Talented artists donated their work to the art auction, and you can bid on pieces on Bidding for Good. Photos follow below of Dancing on the Valentine founder, Jenny George and auction attendees. If you were there and I missed getting your picture, I apologize. Also, a special thank you to Casey Brookbush, Amie Simon and Sarah Plein.

Now I’m looking back at July 11th, 2012, when Side Pony released their album, That Plus Weird, at Barboza. Side Pony, the duo of Kristin B. and Dalisha P., brought vocalist Adra Boo with them – Boo sings on That Plus Weird track “BOP!.” Opening the evening was Clutch Douglass, who dressed in sassy uniforms. Their next show is on Friday, January 18th at Columbia City Theater.
