The Neptune, located deep in the University District neighborhood of Seattle, had the double treat of Angel Olsen with Kara Jackson last October. Olsen, a singer-songwriter whose music has been described in so many ways from dream-pop to country, just got added to Atlas Obscura‘s Ecliptic Festival, where bands and fans celebrate a total eclipse. Kara Jackson opened the Seattle date. Jackson was a U.S. National Youth Poet Laureate and released her debut album, Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?, last year.
