KiNG MALA (aka Areli Castro) played a sold-out show at Madame Lou’s in support of her new EP, Spilt Milk.  Throughout her set, she had a great rapport with the audience, frequently responding between songs to their comments.  The alt-pop artist mentioned she had previously performed in Seattle, but this was her first headlining show – and definitely not her last.

Californian quintet Young The Giant hit the beautiful outside venue Marymoor Park in August. Fans missing them got a real tasty treat in November though: Young The Giant – Live Across America, their first live album, was released on the 17th. It includes tracks such as “Titus Was Born” and “Cough Syrup.”
