Maggie Rogers has new music coming out! A few days ago she released some of a track called “Don’t Forget Me,” which sounds mighty fine. Last year, she visited Seattle’s WaMu Theater, where fans shared all the Maggie Rogers excitement as Rogers stunned in a jersey with a cape. That’s right, a jersey with a cape. If you’re feeling a bit in the money, catch Rogers at the Tibet House Benefit concert on February 26th. On the more modest side, she’ll be at Bonnaroo on June 14th, or just listen to her and enjoy.

Jahari Stampley @ Jazz Alley – Tues. & Wed. – 1/30 & 1/31
Preview by Dagmar
Jahari Stampley
Jazz piano sensation/impending superstar and winner of 2023’s Herbie Hancock Institute International Piano Competition, Jahari Stampley headlines Jazz Alley for two nights, January 30th & 31st. Chicagoan Stampley’s select dates on the west coast this year have been in California and Washington. But something tells me he’ll be in even more demand, with a couple more shows coming up again in California this summer. He also just won an award in 2023 for Chicagoan of the Year for Jazz from Chicago Tribune. Another kudos is Stampley is the first non-classical artist to be awarded honoree of the Chicago Symphony. Basically he’s just an artist to catch. I also love his X post talking about meeting Herbie Hancock, and a nice side note: the name Jahari means jewel. Totally suitable.
For tickets & more information head over to Jazz Alley’s Jahari Stampley event page.
