Why You Want to Watch: Miami’s City Girls surround their fine selves with candy, dogs, cool locales and cute boys. The female duo, JT and Yung Miami, will be on a forced break, sadly, as JT will most likely be in prison until March 2020 due to a non-violent crime conviction.

Cut Chemist
Cut Chemist, real name Lucas MacFadden, made a visit to Seattle’s Nectar this spring. Well known as a member of Jurassic 5, the American producer now has two solo albums, including this year’s Die Cut. Jurassic 5 fans will be happy to see “Work My Mind” on the album, a collaboration with Chali 2na. Another very cool project of Cut Chemist is his own radio show over on dublab. Check it out.

Electropop singer Clairo brought her Lazy Day Tour to the Crocodile Café last week. The sold out show was in support of her recently released debut album, diary 001. She was back in Seattle with her three-member band after opening for Dua Lipa in July. During her set, there were frequent shouts of “I love you!”

What a truly wonderful year for the Damned. The English band released an incredibly well-received album, Evil Spirits (their first in ten years!!), and hit the road to share songs from it and other works. David Vanian, Captain Sensible, Monty Oxymoron, Pinch and Paul Gray – all original or long-term members – are even getting ready for more shows, including additional fall US dates. Photographer Alex Crick went to the July Seattle show, and shared some lovely goth photos of the Damned. Opening for the evening was Rome, Italy’s Giuda.
