Escape the Fate, Attack Attack and The Word Alive @ Showbox Market, 4/16/2012
Review & photos by Heather Fitzpatrick
It’s a “Metal” show at The Showbox Market on a Monday night, April 16th
. . . Were they ready?
Line around the block? Check. Tons of equipment on stage? Check. Plenty of security on hand so make sure no one got hurt? CHECK! Escape the Fate, Attack Attack!, The Word Alive, Mest & Secrets were all to take the stage. All of the makings for a fun metal show were there, and the crowd fed on every note. Each band’s lead singer asked (okay, demanded) that everybody “MOVE,” “SURF,” or go home. The crowd complied with their first two demands, and the “mosh pit” grew to the entire floor of the Showbox (Market). There were no fewer than 40 crowd surfing fans throughout the show, most starting their ascent upon each band’s first or second song. By the time Escape the Fate took the stage as the final set time, fans were just as eager to move. Lead vocalist, Craig Mabbitt told stories of how each and every one of the audience meant something to the band and he looks forward to returning (soon!), both with the band and with his solo project, The Dead Rabbitts.
From what I saw on Monday, there will definitely be an audience lined up around the block again, ready and waiting to ROCK!
