Tift Merritt opened for David Gray and Ray LaMontagne last weekend at Marymoor Park in Redmond. She’ll be back in town on November16, headlining at the Tractor Tavern and playing songs from her new record See You On The Moon.

Jay Electronica and Jenny and Johnny were two of the variety of acts at Bumbershoot who played on a couple of the outdoor stages. I saw part of Jay Electronica’s set and it was packed with an excited crowd – they all seemed to know the songs. Here are some of Nicky Andrews’ shots!:

Until Wednesday night with their sold-out appearance at Showbox SoDo, Scissor Scissors hadn’t been to Seattle since October 2006. I knew that I missed this band’s live performances, but I really might not have realized just how much. Their new material off Night Work is glorious, and I absolutely could not stop paying total attention to their show. They are one of the best bands out there now, and I’m also going to say they’re one of the best bands I have ever heard and seen. Here are some of my photos and shots from special contributor, Josh Armstrong (thank you for sharing your sexy shots, Josh!):

Photographer Jason Tang was at the Jason Reeves show at the end of August – I meant to get these posted earlier but I got behind! Reeves is still touring the States and you can follow him on twitter here. Here are some of Jason’s gorgeous shots of Jason Reeves and Brendan James at Seattle’s Vera Project:

Brit David Gray appeared at Marymoor Park in Redmond on Sunday evening with Ray LaMontagne and Tift Merritt. Gray has now finished his Draw the Line 2010 Tour, which saw him playing shows steadily since January! Kirk Stauffer captured some lovely shots of Gray in Redmond:
