Photos: Bumbershoot 2011 w/ Minus the Bear

Photographers Nicky Andrews and Simon Krane attended Minus the Bear‘s Bumbershoot set earlier this month. Enjoy some lovely photos of the band and their fans. Minus the Bear kicks off their 10 Year Anniversary Tour in Boise on October 4th, and then closes it out with a Seattle date on 11/11/11 at Showbox at the Market.

Photos: We Are Augustines @ The Neptune

On September 10th We Are Augustines enchanted us once again with an amazing show at the beautiful, and recently rescued Neptune. Billy McCarthy, lead singer and guitar player is probably the most humble artist I have seen live. You can see and feel his genuine emotion more and more as the show progresses. If you haven’t listened to their debut album yet, head over to their website and pick it up! Enjoy the pictures – the rest are on my Flickr.

Photos: Taylor Swift @ The Tacoma Dome

Swift also writes her own material, including my favorite songs of hers, “You Belong With Me” and “Mine.” There’s no way you could not love her music. Photographer Kirk Stauffer made the trip to Tacoma to cover Swift’s show at the Tacoma Dome, and I have to say these photos turned out beyond exquisitely. – Dagmar, Editor

Photos: Meiko @ Showbox at the Market

I had the pleasure of shooting Meiko’s set at the Showbox Market last Sunday during a quick break while covering Bumbershoot. As I was processing these it occurred to me that I’ve covered her more than any performer – nine times in nearly three years – and thought it would be fun to add a photo from each of the prior shows at the end of this post. Why so many times? I think it’s a combination of her frequent stops in Seattle, my enjoyment of her music, and she’s a simply great performer to photograph. Without further ado – The Meiko Chronicles.
