It’s been six years since anybody has been able to see SuicideGirls: Blackheart Burlesque, and Seattle gets its chance tomorrow, Tuesday October 21st to have a gander at the talented dancers and performance artists. The event, to be held at El Corazon, promises to include choreography by Manwe Sauls-Addison, known for his work with Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and BeyoncĂ©. SuicideGirls, an online community begun in 2001 by Sean Suhl and Selena Mooney, shares with the world pin-up photos of real beauties.

Seattle songstress Shelby Earl played to a very receptive audience at the Triple Door last week, in support of her latest album, Swift Arrows, released in July. Earl’s debut album, Burn the Boats, attracted attention from Rolling Stone and was named the #1 Outstanding 2011 Album You Might Have Missed by Amazon. Be sure to catch her next Seattle show at Barboza on November 22.

More Bumbershoot magic comes in from photographers Nicky Andrews and Kirk Stauffer, who caught Diamond Rings, Tamaryn and Lake Street Dive at the 2013 festival. Did you miss the Brooklyn-based Lake Street Dive? If you did, or if you want to see them again in Seattle, they’ll be at the Tractor on November 2nd.

Photos: Grouplove @ the Triple Door
There is an infectious joy that radiates from the tightly knit quintet that make up Grouplove. While billed as an acoustic set, Grouplove brought their bounding stage presence and upbeat energy to the Triple Door to lift the audience with a happy set of summertime jams from their latest album Spreading Rumours. I defy any live music fan to try to walk away from a Grouplove show without a giant smile across your face.
