Ten years is a long time for fans to wait between albums, but Five Iron Frenzy‘s new album, Engine of a Million Plots, becomes available this Tuesday, November 26th! The Denver-based octet reunited a couple years ago, and got some fan help via Kickstarter to make their sixth album happen. On August 10th Five Iron Frenzy stopped by Showbox at the Market, bringing with them MxPx’s Mike Herrera. All photos by Josh Daniels:

Show Review & Photos by Heather Fitzpatrick
It had been nearly a year since Walk the Moon played in Seattle, and you could tell their fans were anxious to see them again. With faces painted, and hands stretched high, they welcomed Walk the Moon back to Showbox SoDo on October 23rd. Opening bands included Smallpools, who are signed to RCA – they’re from New Jersey and made their performing debut in July 2013) plus the Mowgli’s, an eight-piece band from California whose stage performance included an abundance of energy. They really got the crowd moving. Walk the Moon’s self-titled album was released last June.

Yes, It’s True is the new album from the Polyphonic Spree, and yes, it’s true the Polyphonic Spree hit Neumos in August. Currently there are 20 (!!!) members in the band, from vocalists to horn players to a harpist – all leading to the uniqueness that is the Polyphonic Spree. Photographer Tino Tran caught some of that magic:

Seattle truly lucked out when SuicideGirls selected it as one of their October tour dates. The show, a celebration of female beauty and talent, came back after a six-year break to treat fans to an absolutely gorgeous visual feast. A big thank you to photographer Paul Israel (and of course the girls!) for these fabulous shots:
