Kelly Clarkson brought her Piece By Piece Tour to Seattle last week with three opening acts. Country/pop singer-songwriter Abi Ann kicked off the evening and is poised to go far with her music career. Next up was Eric Hutchinson, playing both piano and guitar with his band. The five-member a cappella group Pentatonix, 2011 The Sing-Off winners, got the audience ready for Clarkson.

Clarkson sang for over 90 minutes, drawing from her most recent release, Piece By Piece, as well as her six previous albums. The stage, several costume changes and of course, Clarkson’s beautiful and powerful voice, made it a great show.

Brits Wolf Alice visited Seattle to headline the Crocodile in May. One of many interesting details about this band is they released their first EP, Blush, on White Lies’ Jack Brown’s label, Chess Records. Everything is connected! Now they’re on RCA with My Love Is Cruel, and are working on the conquering of America.

Video: Blue Zoo’s “Cry Boy Cry”

Artist: Blue Zoo
Song: “Cry Boy Cry”
Why You Want to Watch: The only music video I can think of where the singer is locked in a bedroom while his band mates reach for him with their arms in gloves. Through a wall. It’s weird.
Details: The song “Cry Boy Cry” came out in 1983. Blue Zoo, a British band who started in the ’80s, reformed in 2010!
