Band: Royal Blood
Song: “Lights Out”
Why You Want to Listen: The totally legit rock duo Royal Blood recently performed this track, “Lights Out” on Late Night with Seth Meyers. If you weren’t aware of them, you Should Be Now. The English band released album two, How Did We Get So Dark? this month, and hit Seattle for a show at Showbox at the Market on August 9th.

Details: English rock quartet Bush returned to Seattle in May 2017. This show was a rescheduled date, and it’s great they were able to make it back! New stuff is happening for the band, including the May release of Black and White Rainbows. For this album, they worked with producer Bob Rock for the second time (he produced 2011’s The Sea of Memories). Bush has headlining shows lined up in Europe this fall.

Details: Minneapolis’ Atmosphere (that is, rapper Slug and DJ Ant) played Showbox SoDo in September 2016. Bringing along Rhymesayers (motto: Don’t Sweat the Techniques) label mates Brother Ali and deM atlaS, Atmosphere celebrated album eight, Fishing Blues. Keep an eye on their Facebook, as it appears the duo has an announcement to make on June 28th, with a teaser of bicycle wheels and that date flashing on their page. . . hmmmm. . . Enjoy photos by Casey Brevig, which are Memory Lane Series, Part 8.

SEE played an acoustic solo set at El Corazon last week in support of her debut EP Ties. This was the last stop on her tour with Nina Diaz. The multi-instrument singer-songwriter drew from material on her record, as well as several new songs and covers. SEE took a few minutes after her set for some portraits.
