Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit – fronted by Johanna (bass) and Klara Söderberg (guitar) – played a sold-out show at the Moore Theatre. The sisters and their three-member backing band are on the road in support of their recently released, fourth studio album, Ruins. To the delight of the Seattle audience, they played “Crazy On You” by another sister band – Heart. Van William opened and joined First Aid Kit during the encore.

Singer-songwriter Rachael Sage played a sold-out show at Benaroya Hall in support of her 14th album, Choreographic. The show was the first night of a seven-week tour with Howard Jones. Accompanied by by Kelly Halloran on violin and vocals, the former ballerina made comedic references to her Jewish ancestry throughout her set.

Details: Portland’s got many things you can call their pride and joy; one of them is definitely the Dandy Warhols. They shared songs off 2016’s Distortland live in Seattle for the first time (by the way, if you love that album loads, you can get it live on vinyl), and the psychedelic quartet had London’s Telegram open the evening. Touring with the Dandy Warhols brought Telegram to America for the first time!

Katy Perry brought her WITNESS: The Tour to a capacity crowd at the Tacoma Dome. It was an elaborate production with numerous dancers, intricate props, band, backup singers, costumes, confetti cannons and a long runway to maximize the audiences’ exposure. This was Perry’s last US show of her North American tour – then it’s off to Europe and Australia. Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen opened.
