Show Review & Photos: One eskimO @ the Triple Door

One eskimO are touring the States as a headliner for the first time. In October they played their first headlining show in Seattle at the Triple Door. They had no problem filling, and then some, this venue with fans. I saw the London-based band open for Gomez this year and loved their music. I’ve been listening to their debut, All Balloons quite often and interviewed their singer, Kristian Leontinou before their Seattle date. The Triple Door was a great atmosphere for them, as it’s intimate enough and the band’s graceful energy melded well with the venue. The craft that goes into their sound is complex and unique. My favorite song of the evening was “Astronauts,” a song that hits you on CD. Performed live, it’s particularly heart tingling. Each band member brought so much talent that it was easy to single each one out positively, and I am looking forward to seeing One eskimO again for sure.
