La Roux played the Showbox Market on Monday evening to an adoring and dancing crowd. La Roux deserves this respect – they’re purveyors of synth dance music of the best kind. With the vocals of Ellie Jackson, they recall and reinvent the genre of the Human League, Heaven 17 and Eurythmics. Perfection! Local artist DJ Colby B set the mood before La Roux’s show. I always love hearing her play.
