October was a huge month for shows, which is why we are probably just nearly finishing up sharing our coverage. The awesome Lisa Hannigan played the Tractor Tavern on October 5th – she has a new album out called Passenger, and check out her version of Diana Ross’ “Upside Down.” All beautiful photos by Kirk Stauffer:

Another fabulous lineup at the Vera Project went down on November 20, 2011 with Company of Thieves, Motopony, Roman Holiday, and
Three For T. Photographer Jason Tang contributed his wondrous shots of all four bands, and what great subjects they are! Tang also got a video of Company of Thieves performing “Death of Communication.”

Big, big thank you to Heather Fitzpatrick for capturing some wonderful photos of Afraid Of Figs‘ December 10, 2011 show at the Vera Project. Listen to Afraid Of Figs’ songs such as “Don’t Wanna Be Your Facebook Friend” and “I Ate a Vegan” right here.
Show Review & Photos: Orgone @ Neumos, Dec. 1st
Orgone is a funky and eclectic group of people that rocked the night away with their soul-packed sound! Their intense and super funk rhythm section is the heart of their music. With amazing vocals from guitarist Sergio Rios and Niki J. Crawford, this band will have you shufflin’ your feet and then shakin’ your booty in less than three minutes. They started off with some great beats and vocals from Rios and then Crawford came on stage with her large voice and huge stage presence and graced the audience with some beautiful sounds! Let’s hope that this L.A. band decides to come through Seattle again soon!

Halloween party at the High Dive? Photos of it for New Year? Okay, it took a while but here are my snaps of Metalween 2011 at the High Dive. I was there for most of the evening and enjoyed a Danzig tribute called Danzig With Wolves, a Judas Priest tribute called Call the Priest, plus Thunderpouch and Darkfunkel. Darfunkel was Daniel G. Harmann with Spanish for 100, performing Simon & Garfunkel “in the key of metal.”
