KISW‘s Pain in the Grass 2012 brought The Offspring, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and others to White River Ampitheatre on September 29th. The annual event always offers a great lineup, and this year was no exception. Thank you to photographer Matt Lamb for these awesome shots!

The last of the year, Little Big Show 4 at the Neptune Theater was headlined by the folksy Swedish duo First Aid Kit – fronted by sisters Johanna Söderberg (piano) and Klara Söderberg (guitar). The sold-out show raised over $12,000 for local writing center 826 Seattle.

We are actually coming close to wrapping up our Bumbershoot coverage – sort of! Locals Deep Sea Diver and Sweden’s Niki and the Dove entertained audiences, including a Niki and the Dove performance in the KEXP Lounge. Deep Sea Diver has a Thanksgiving time West Coast tour planned to start November 25th. Photographers Nicky Andrews and Simon Krane reported back from Bumbershoot with these shots:

Show Review & Photos by Heather Fitzpatrick
On October 6th, the line at The Showbox SoDo started in the early morning hours and by the time doors opened, it had nearly wrapped around the block. The crowd of 90% underage screaming fans swarmed to the front of the stage to see the latest “Brit” musician, Ed Sheeran, from across the pond play yet another sold-out show here in the States. I was the only photographer in the “pit,” but due to the overwhelming number of cell phones in the crowd snapping pics and recording videos, I chose to stay on the far sides of the wide open area reserved for myself and security so as not to be in fans’ shots. Ed Sheeran’s debut album +, was released in September 2011, and continues to top charts across the globe. He’s still on tour in Europe through the end of 2012, and has announced another headlining US tour for 2013. Two thirds of those dates have already sold out.
