Warpaint played a sold-out show at Neumos last week, one of many stops during their current tour that will stretch into September. Members Theresa Wayman (guitar, vocals), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass, vocals), Stella Mozgawa (drums, vocals) and Emily Kokal (guitar, keys, vocals) are supporting their new self-titled album, Warpaint. Los Angeles-based James Supercave opened.
I Break Horses @ Crocodile Cafe
The Swedish indie rock duo, I Break Horses, stopped at the Crocodile Café last week in support of their sophomore album, Chiaroscuro, released in January. Maria Lindén (keys, vocals) and Fredrik Balck (percussion) have played together since 2011, when they first appeared with their debut album Hearts.
Music: Nightmare Fortress (Gold Wolf Galaxy Remix), Borgore & Painted Palms
Seattle’s Nightmare Fortress, a very cool electro goth band, gets a remix by Gold Wolf Galaxy. Gold Wolf Galaxy, also from Seattle, are, by their own description, “doom disco rock.” I applaud each of these groups. Have a listen to Gold Wolf Galaxy’s remix of “The Soft Kill”:

Drum and bass artist out of Israel, Borgore, heads to Seattle on May 16th. Get ready for that by enjoying new track, “Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse.”

Painted Palms also head to Seattle for a July 1st show at Barboza. On their full-length debut, Forever, you’ll find the song “Spinning Signs.” They’ve maintained a long-distance music relationship, with one of the duo living in San Francisco, and the other in New Orleans. Check them out!
Photos: Berlin @ Snoqualmie Casino
New Wave/electronic band Berlin, with singer Terri Nunn, performed at Snoqualmie Casino on March 27th. Animal, the group’s seventh album (and whose title track’s video features drag queen Raven), came out in September 2013. All Snoqualmie photos by Steve Campagna.
Amy Stroup @ Crocodile Cafe
Amy Stroup and her band, Matt Scibilia (drums) and Eric Montgomery (guitar, keys), recently played at the Crocodile Café in support of her new album, Tunnel. Stroup borrowed Claire Indie (cello) and Jordan Hamlin (French horn) from Katie Herzig for a few songs.
