Photos: Harp Twins @ Ballard Homestead

The Harp Twins – Camille and Kennerly Kitt – played at the Ballard Homestead during a stop on their North American tour. The classically trained identical twins are on the road in support of their most recent release, Harp Attack 3. Their performance was comprised of originally arranged classic rock and metal songs (“Hotel California,” “Dream On,” “Don’t Fear The Reaper,” “Stairway To Heaven”) and also included several of their own songs with vocals. Adding to their beautiful performance, they gave a witty intro to each song and explained the many features of their acoustic and electric harps. You could see it coming after their last song in the 2+ hour show … a thoroughly deserved standing ovation.

Jean-Michel Jarre

One of France’s most successful music artists, Jean-Michel Jarre, headlined the Paramount in April. When we say successful, he’s actually an Officier de la Légion d’Honneur. He’s even got an asteroid named after him. The spring Seattle date was part of a handful of North American shows – extremely fortunate that we got him here. Unless we’re mistaken, he rarely visits the States. Huge thank you to Lisa Hagen Glynn for getting these wonderful shots of Jarre, including the magical laser harp.

Video: Ighloohost’s “Clear Tamei”

Artist: Ighlooghost
Song: “Clear Tamei”
Why You Want to Watch: The talented English producer and artist, Ighloo, also known as Seamus Malliagh was able to see some of his creations come to life in this video. There are also some pretty mushrooms in here. Ighlooghost said:

Clear Tamei is a song about some floating beings called Mogu and Tamei that I sometimes accidentally invite into my room when I’m trying to make up words for songs. When they come over it makes me feel really tired and my skin gets pink bruises and I always fall asleep. This song is sometimes really slow and really fast and I imagine that the song is see-through with glowing guts.

If you want to know more about Ighlooghost, AIGA Eye on Design did a great feature on him back in 2017.
