Kyary Pamyu Pamyu kicked off her North American tour with a sold-out show at Showbox at the Market last week. The 21-year-old Queen of J-Pop – often referred to as Japan’s Lady Gaga – was supported by four dancers and an assortment of whimsical stage props at the all-ages show. The audience adored her!
Hawaiian born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Kimié played a memorable solo acoustic set at Showbox at the Market this week. Kimié has been on tour with The Green for the past month in support of her new album, To the Sea. Her soulful music is a combination of reggae, pop, funk and R&B. Kimié
Justin Townes Earle returned to Seattle for a packed house at the Showbox at the Market. Earle is touring in support of his latest album, Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now, and will be headed to Europe in August.
Tristen, named by Spin magazine as one of the 25 must-hear artists at Bonnaroo, opened for Justin Townes Earle at the Showbox at the Market on Friday. Backed by Buddy Hughen (guitar, vocals) and Jordan Caress (bass, vocals), Tristen is touring in support of her latest album, Charlatans At The Garden Gate.
