The magnificent rapper Snoop Dogg brings his Puff Puff Pass Tour Part 2 to the Paramount on Thursday evening, December 8th. The tour, including a noticeably excellent lineup with Snoop Dogg, Bone thugs-n-harmony, Warren G, DJ Quik and Tha Dogg Pound, is primarily sponsored by app Best Bud Best Buy and Snoop’s Premium Nutrients. No one has asked me to plug those companies, I just think they look like cool products. I also need to point out to other West Coasters: although there’s an Eastern Washington show happening as I type, this is the only Puff Puff Pass Tour Part 2 show among Seattle, WA, Oregon and Canada until he heads to California. So consider that if were undecided, and get your butt over here from Canada and Oregon.
Snoop Dogg, who’s been a brilliantly prolific artist, released album 14 this year with July’s Coolaid. Just a couple years ago I saw his show at WaMu Theater, and found him a compelling performer with mega charm. There has never been a time where Snoop was not an exciting part of music culture, and I don’t think there ever will be. The fact he’s sharing a stage with these artists emphasizes he has nothing to prove. He continues to make a huge mark, and we Seattleites love him.
