English post-punk band Echo & the Bunnymen played The Showbox Market on September 1, 2022. Original members Ian McCullough (vocals) and Will Sergeant (guitars, electronics) led the group in classics that included “The Killing Moon” and “Lips Like Sugar.” Their North American tour celebrated the band’s 40 years together. Santa Monica indie-pop group Cayucas opened.
