I’ve seen the massively wonderful Elvis Costello several times now, twice at Bumbershoot. This year his appearance at Bumbershoot seemed abbreviated (hist last Bumbershoot show was 3 hours), as, for some reason, Wu-Tang Clan was scheduled after him. Costello could have continued playing on that Main Stage, and the audience would have been happy for it (can you tell I am not that big on Wu-Tang Clan?). Why Elvis Costello would be scheduled ahead of ANYBODY, I do not know. Anyway, Costello’s performance was pure magic. He’s an international treasure – music gold, and it was exquisite to see him have such a large audience of people who were fellow fans. Thanks Elvis!

Over on the Fisher Green Stage Sam Lachow, rapper/producer/director/he who does everything, had a huge crowd to see him. Photographer Simon Krane caught his set – I missed the beginning of it. By the time I got there, I saw an audience who was large and happy. He returns to Seattle with a show at the Neptune on November 29th.
