Singer-songwriter Lauren Mayberry headlined at Neumos in a show that quickly sold-out months ago. Best known as the vocalist and percussionist for the Scottish band CHVRCHES, the tour is her first solo endeavor. Backed by a three-member band, Lauren performed new material, including the single “Are You Awake?”. And in recognition of being in Seattle, she also sang “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” by local band, Death Cab For Cutie. Seattle-based Sea Lemon – fronted by Natalie Lew – opened.

It’s always great to see such amazing bands joining forces to tour TOGETHER. This happened when Modest Mouse and Pixies hit Seattle on September 8th, playing the largest indoor venue in the city. Hawaii’s J Boog visited Seattle at the end of February. J Boog, who’s also known as Jerry Fealofani Afemata, sings and writes Reggae music. He just finished a fall tour, and in 2018, he received a Grammy nomination for Wash House Ting for Best Reggae Album. In Seattle, he had fellow Hawaiian Likkle Jordee doing the opening honors.
