Grace Potter rocked the Showbox for a huge group of dedicated fans. She’s on the road with her four-member band in support of her most recent album, Mother Road. The multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter was high energy throughout the evening on guitar, organ, and tambourine.

Internet sensations Mia x Ally brought their Viral Hits Tour to Neumos last week. The duo performed classic rock, metal and pop on the electric violin (Mia Asano) and bagpipes (Ally Crowley-Duncan). Their high-energy show was accompanied by guitar and drums as they performed together as well as individually. They wrapped up the evening with rousing performances of “Free Bird” and “Devil Went Down to Georgia”. Buckets the Drummer opened and joined Mia x Ally on several songs.

Well wow! SXSW 24 is almost upon us! Photographer Kirk Stauffer will make his annual trek to Texas to take so many wonderful photos of as many artists as he possibly can. This year, I’m previewing a few musicians alphabetically with a focus on some new artists I’m totally excited to feature here on the site. How awesome to discover new acts, always so cool. Of course there are some more familiar wonders as well.
