Photos: Two Gallants @ Barboza

The stunning band known as Two Gallants headlined Barboza on Friday night. They played to a rapt audience who knew and loved the songs – plus fans ate up the new material off Two Gallants’ latest, The Bloom and the Blight. This show gets an A+ from me, a rather hardened – yet enthusiastic – concertgoer.

Photos & Review: Two Gallants with Future Twin @ Barboza

I got to hear two really good bands and hang out with some fun people on Friday night. My night started when I met Jordan and James from Poulsbo, relaxing with some refreshing PBRs. They were really funny and Jordan liked to demonstrate her tough girl face to anyone who would indulge her.

Stopping in Seattle before heading to Australia, TWO GALLANTS, touring with FUTURE TWIN, played to a very crowded Barboza. Two Gallants blend folk, blues, alt rock with an Irish twist to create a full sound from just 2 musicians. Both Two Gallants and Future Twin had the crowd hopping from start to finish.

Photos – Dancing on the Valentine Presents: An Art Auction for Leukemia @ Emerald City Orchids

On Saturday, January 12th, Dancing on the Valentine held an exhibit of art we all can bid on (it’s actually quite affordable). And it will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The event, held at Emerald City Orchids, will be followed by the 8th annual Dancing on the Valentine, a concert to take place on Saturday, February 9th at Neumos. The show will feature musicians, including The Redwood Plan and Head Like A Kite, all performing their versions of songs by The Cure. Proceeds will also benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Talented artists donated their work to the art auction, and you can bid on pieces on Bidding for Good. Photos follow below of Dancing on the Valentine founder, Jenny George and auction attendees. If you were there and I missed getting your picture, I apologize. Also, a special thank you to Casey Brookbush, Amie Simon and Sarah Plein.

Photos: Rush @ KeyArena

On November 13th, 2012 Rush returned to Seattle for a headlining show at KeyArena. The Canadian super band was here to tour its nineteenth album, Clockwork Angels, which came out in 2012 – receiving awesome reviews. Rush will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Congratulations! All photos by Geoffrey Gribbin:
