A big favorite of mine since her debut release Eye To The Telescope in 2004, KT Tunstall returned to Seattle last week for a show at the Neptune Theatre. She wrapped up her North American tour the following night in Vancouver, one that began in Toronto with 15 U.S. and Canadian stops in between. Tunstall, an animated storyteller who interacts well with her audience, recently released her fifth album, Invisible Empire/Crescent Moon.

American superstar Pink headlined KeyArena on Sunday evening, and brought female and male backup dancers and trapeze artists to highlight her newest album, The Truth About Love (which features Nate Ruess and Eminem – well worth checking out!). During Sunday’s show one fan got up close and thoughtfully gave the singer a bag of Cheetos. Danish band New Politics opened, providing some fancy footwork as well.

Seattle songstress Shelby Earl played to a very receptive audience at the Triple Door last week, in support of her latest album, Swift Arrows, released in July. Earl’s debut album, Burn the Boats, attracted attention from Rolling Stone and was named the #1 Outstanding 2011 Album You Might Have Missed by Amazon. Be sure to catch her next Seattle show at Barboza on November 22.

More Bumbershoot magic comes in from photographers Nicky Andrews and Kirk Stauffer, who caught Diamond Rings, Tamaryn and Lake Street Dive at the 2013 festival. Did you miss the Brooklyn-based Lake Street Dive? If you did, or if you want to see them again in Seattle, they’ll be at the Tractor on November 2nd.
