Anya Marina – best known for her song “Satellite Heart” from the movie Twilight – opened for Steven Page at the Showbox Market on Friday. She just wrapped up a tour in support of her new album, School Spirit.

Steven Page – co-founder of the Barenaked Ladies – played a seated show at the Showbox Market on Friday in support of his first solo album, Page One. He had a great rapport with the crowd and twice, a woman named Marla was up on stage dancing while Steven played.
The Swedish, indie pop group – The Concretes – were the headliners on Monday at Neumos. The six-member band, fronted by lead singer and founding member Lisa Milberg, are currently touring the US in support of their latest album, WYWH, that was released last year.
Despite the weatherman’s threat of heavy snow in the Seattle metro area, John Popper and the Duskray Troubadours attracted a good-sized audience at Neumos last night. Nicole Atkins performed at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard on Saturday in support of her new album, Mondo Amore, which was released last Tuesday (2/8). Watch for her on Conan O’Brien this Thursday (2/17). I’ll have the pleasure though of seeing Nicole again live next month at SXSW in Austin.
