Legendary rock guitarist Joe Satriani rocked to a sold-out crowd at the Snoqualmie Casino Ballroom. Joe, who is known as a mentor to guitar greats such as Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Steve Vai, knew how to get the crowd pumped up . . . especially after most of the fans had returned from Qwest Field after the Seattle Seahawks crushed the Superbowl champion New Orleans Saints to advance in the playoffs. Although the weather started to get nasty due to a snow storm, that didn’t keep the fans in attendance down from enjoying one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time – and also basking in the glow of Seattle’s win. I have to say I am a little shocked I got this opportunity to shoot a legend like Joe Satriani as I was shocked he was playing Snoqualmie Casino. Most of the times an artist of this caliber would play the likes of The Paramount. I hope this trend continues for Snoqualmie Casino as the lighting and sound are by far the best for a small venue.
