All Brent Amaker and the Rodeo shows are important, but the one this Saturday at the Tractor is of mega significance. This morning Brent Amaker sent out the following email, which freaks me out:
Come out to the Tractor for Brent Amaker and the Rodeo Saturday night. This will be the last Seattle club show for a long time. Our drummer, Bryan, moved to Texas (he’s flying in for this show). Guitarist Tiny Dancer is leaving the band, and I’m not rebuilding this thing until I record another record which likely won’t have until 2015 / 2016. I’m not proclaiming this to be our last show, but it’s definitely gonna be awhile before the Rodeo re-emerges. Hope you can make it!
We’ll have to wait for the rebuild in 2015/2016. Real fans will wait. I want those other fans to join me on July 12th to bid the band’s current incarnation farewell – never goodbye. Classic country is always roaringly good. I’ve spent some time this summer backing up my photography, and it looks as if I have been following and in love with this band since 2008!
I love you, Rodeo! Get your tickets here.
