Show Preview: Foster the People, Mayer Hawthorne & Kimbra @ WaMu Theater, Tues. 6/26

Foster the People headlines WaMu Theater tomorrow, Tuesday June 26th. The Californian band brings Mayer Hawthorne and Kimbra with them, so this is quite the hot triple bill. I caught Foster the People’s show here last year and can recommend their live act. They’re exciting, and their fans are way excited. Mayer Hawthorne has just released his third album – but first with Universal – called How Do You Do. It includes “Can’t Stop,” a collaboration with Snoop Dogg! We’ve covered Hawthorne on here before, and it’s always a pleasure to feature him. Kimbra, the first performer of the night, might be best known to you as the female vocalist on Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know.” I encourage you to check out her solo work though – it’s well worth listening to.

Last I heard the show is sold out, but keep checking any newly released tickets. And you can show up. You never know.

Show at 8 PM.
