Show Previews: Bumbershoot, Day 2 – Sun. 9/4

You will troop through Bumbershoot very quickly on Sunday – that’s September 4th, day 2 of the festival. A lot of my picks for Sunday involve the Fisher Green Stage and the Exhibition Stage. Here’s why:

1:30 – 2:30 The Lonely Forest @ the Mainstage
Anacortes, WA & Seattle, WA band The Lonely Forest play the Mainstage this year. That’s right, they’ve become that big with their release, Arrows. They also have a burgeoning Wikipedia page. Right on!

1:45 – 2:45 Miss Pamela Des Barres @ the Words and Ideas Stage
The intelligent and appealing “Groupie Guru,” Pamela Des Barres will also be at Bumbershoot. She’s written excellent and entertaining books and I am sure will be a charming speaker.

2:15 – 3:15 Mad Rad @ the Fisher Green Stage
You love them, you love them, you love them. Mad Rad plays the Fisher Green Stage for you at 2:15. They will move you.

2:45 – 3:45 NoMeansNo @ the Exhibition Hall
Vancouver, Canada’s NoMeansNo hits the Exhibition Hall right in the middle of the day. This is a good way to spend your afternoon.

4:45 – 5:45 Atari Teenage Riot @ the Exhibition Hall
We’ve got Germans at Bumbershoot! Berliners Atari Teenage Riot are back with Is This Hyperreal?, their first album in 12 years.

5:00 – 5:50 Com Truise @ the Decibel Stage at the Sky Church
Come Truise, aka Seth Haley, should put on a perfectly suited show at the Sky Church.

5:45 – 6:45 Das Racist @ the Fisher Green Stage
The provoking trio Das Racist return to Seattle for an outdoor performance. If you are anywhere near the Fisher Green Stage you will not miss them.

9:15 – 10:30 The Kills @ the Fisher Green Stage
Also set for the Fisher Green Stage is The Kills. This will be amazing.
