Grimes, the Canadian one-woman electro-pop group fronted by Claire Boucher, opened for Austra last week at the Crocodile Café. The band/Grimes/she/Claire/they will be back in town at the Sunset Tavern on 2/20/12.
The Canadian electro-pop-goth band Austra played at the Crocodile Café in support of their latest album, Feel It Break. Fronted by Katie Stelmanis – whose middle name is Austra – twins Sari and Romy Lightman added some amazing harmonies.
The British indie pop girl group, The Pipettes, played at the Croc last night (5/1) in support of their latest release, Earth vs. The Pipettes. Sisters Gwenno and Ani Saunders were backed by an all-male band, The Cassettes. Their last Seattle visit in November, 2007 was also at the Croc (version 1.0 at the time).
