Romance on a Wednesday Evening

Romance is playing at the Crocodile on Wednesday, March 25th. It’s been quite a while since I have seen this band and I treasure their cds I have. If we’re lucky the moody Seattle skies will match this music with something like this, a shot of what looks like a skylight at the Crocodile. Dreamy.

And check out Romance’s video for Killer in the World:

Photos: Patrol @ The Crocodile

Patrol played the Crocodile tonight for day two of the venue’s grand opening. Amelia Gydé, who is part of the team of as photographer and writer just edited some sweet shots. I am posting a couple here. The Crocodile is pretty swanky now – that’s right, I am looking at you marble sink.

3.21 Bash at the High Dive

There’s a birthday bash on Saturday, March 21st for local blog Ear Candy. They Live will headline and don’t miss Brent Amaker & the Rodeo, Team Gina and We Wrote the Book on Connectors. I recommend this show. You’ve got your hip hop, your country . . .

Party starts at 9:30.

Tommy: Ann-Margret in Beans

I’ve been watching Tommy tonight, the film version by Ken Russell of the Who’s masterpiece. Ann-Margret played the mom and won a Golden Globe. Here’s one of my favorite parts of the movie, where Ann-Margret sings Rain Champagne. And is covered in baked beans.

Branden Daniel and Everybody Gets Laid @ The Sunset, March 19th

I was so besotted with this band, Branden Daniel and Everybody Gets Laid, when I saw them in February. Well, I still am besotted and I say go check them out at the Sunset this Thursday and sing along with Work Like Your Man.
