Norway celebrates its independence from Sweden for the 195th time today. And how fitting is it that this Norwegian fella, Alexander Rybak, kicked ass with a fiddle at this year’s Eurovision?
Tomorrow night (Friday 5.15) is your last chance to see Sleepy Eyes of Death before the Capital Hill Block Party, so get yourselves over to Bellevue. This is an all-ages show that starts early – SEOD is scheduled to start at 9pm. Venue info: Ground Zero, 209 100th Ave NE (near Bellevue Sq.). For $6, you can see one of Seattle’s best live bands. Do it!
Hotels played Chop Suey on May 7th with Eric Blood. As you know I love Hotels. I am also very interested in checking out Eric Blood’s new work since it’s sounding mighty good on his myspace page. I couldn’t make it to this show and though I’m disappointed, Alex Crick took some cool pictures of both bands.
I will have more photos soon but here are a few I took of last night’s very hilarious show by Flight of the Conchords. Sugar Lumps was especially inspired.
