Bumbershoot 2018 has arrived! Loads of great music and all sorts of fun await at the Seattle Center, where the weather should be mellow and not raining. While you can build your own Bumbershoot schedule here, I’ve gone through the schedules for all three Bumbershoot days and made some picks. Keep checking, as I’ll have previews for Saturday and Sunday coming up.

Let’s Eat Grandma’s Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth have known each other since they were children. They met in school when they were four years old!

The British pop duo released their second album on Transgressive Records, I’m All Ears, just this year.

Their track “I Will Be Waiting,” just got remixed by Baths.

Trevor Little is the resident DJ at Foundation Nightclub in Seattle.

From the Northwest, Little’s primary genre is house music.

He’s created a Soundcloud page where you can hear his stuff.

episcol’s music has been featured on BangerSound, a site including a variety of acts, all working together.

Real name Emily Patterson, episcool has played numerous shows this summer.

She is a cofounder of [sus] collective, a music label with other arts.

The Los Angeles duo remixed the song “Planet Caravan” by Black Sabbath.

Poolside’s Filip Nikolic was the bassist for Junior Senior. How I miss that band.

They create what they call Daytime Disco playlists on Spotify.

He’s worked with Raz Simone.

He’s made a little extra cash by making some music for an Apple ad (who can blame him?”

Elderbrook

Real name Alexander Kotz, Elderbrook is on his Sleepwalking Tour.

Sleepwalking, you ask? That’s his latest single, out now.

Elderbrook received a Grammy nomination for the song “Cola,” which he collaborated with fellow Brits Camelphat on.

Gryffin’s a New Yorker, who trained as a classical pianist.

Artists he’s worked with include Bipolar Sunshine and Illenium.

Just this month, he released a dance track called “Tie Me Down,” with Elley Duhé.

Duo the Chainsmokers are one of the biggest EDM artists out there.

Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart made that song with Chris Martin, “Something Just Like This.” You probably know it.

They’ve got Camila Mendes in their video for “Side Effects.” That’s amazing.

Lane 8 has his own record label, This Never Happened.

AKA Daniel Goldstein, hear his new work, Little By Little, over on SoundCloud.

His song “The Disappearance of Colonel Mustard” is a nod to the board game Clue.

Jack Beats is actually a London-based pair of DJs.

They’re Beni G (the British Ben Giffin) and Plus One (the Scottish Niall Dailly).

Dailly said, in, OWSLA, “If a year ago someone had said our music would come out on a major label across the world I’d have fallen over laughing,. . . We began life as an underground crew making tunes for Sunday night hardcore clubbers.”
