Singer-songwriter Jonatha Brooke headlines the Triple Door this Sunday, July 12th. Brooke, a Massachusetts native, now has eleven albums; she’s also written and performed in her own one-woman, play, My Mother Has Four Noses. Oh, and she’s also studied ballet dancing. What a talent!
Brooke’s got some very beautiful, high vocals. What she does with her voice amazes me. And I am convinced that at the Triple Door they will sound just that bit more perfect. Can you tell I enjoy her? She even contributed a song called “Be True” to the film Tinker Bell‘s soundtrack. I rate that high on a coolness chart.
In a charming post on her Facebook page, Brooke wrote yesterday, “Can’t wait to get back to The Triple Door. Best twinkle lights on stage EVER. And I do dig ?#?Seattle?!” She deserves some twinkle lights for sure. You’ll be able to experience some of that magic in an all-Jonatha Brooke show (there’s no opener), so I recommend this event. I’ll leave you with a live performance of the song “Crumbs”:
