Blues Rock virtuoso Joe Bonamassa electrified his fans for over two hours at the Paramount with his blazing guitar and soulful lyrics. Thursday night he played the first of three shows with passion and energy that would be tough to duplicate.
Joe Bonamassa couldn’t have put on such a good show without his amazing band. His seven-member band complemented him perfectly. The horns, percussion, and keyboards added flavors of complexity that left the audience silent with amazement.
Bonamassa is a prolific song writer; he has produced 13 records in 15 years. I bought Different Shades of Blue, released in 2014, and it’s terrific. In 2015 he released a live album, Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks. I can only imagine that it’s also fantastic based on Thursday night’s show.
Joe Bonamassa is playing two more nights at The Paramount. Make sure you don’t miss his show. You don’t want to wait a year for his next one.
