Bumbershoot had Bootsy Collins on its stage this year! That’s right, Bootsy Collins, bass superstar from Parliament-Funkadelic. Some members of a certain generation in the ’90s might know him best from his appearance on Deee-Lite’s “Groove is in the Heart,” and he’s also had a successful solo career. Two Seattle bands very different from each other, Golden Gardens, Hobosexual also performed during day two of the festival, as did South Africa’s Gregory Alan Isakov. Isakov returns to Seattle on February 17th to play Benaroya Hall – nice! All photos by Abby Williamson and Simon Krane:
