The Black Lodge had an absolutely awesome lineup on March 20th, which included Bad Blood & Gang Cult – as openers. That was lucky, as I would have seen these bands as headliners, so I got to see them kind of fresh and early at 9 PM-ish. I’ve been very fortunate lately in really enjoying most of the opening bands I have caught. Gang Cult played a fast-paced rock/surf/punk style that affectionately got my attention, while Bad Blood equally stuck out with a bluesy, mysterious and hypnotic vibe. Bad Blood, featuring members of the Pharmacy and Holy Ghost Revival, are recording new material.
