I meant to have my review and photos of 3OH!3’s show ready way earlier than this, but then something called the Holidays turned up. I’ve been a fan of this duo, Nathaniel Motte and Sean Foreman, since its 2007 self-titled debut, which featured the truly classic “Chokechain” and “Holler Til You Pass Out.” 2008’s Want got them wider attention with “Don’t Trust Me” and the rerelease of the previous mentioned songs. 30H!3’s songs are catchy – but even more important? They are fun.
Right before Thanksgiving 3OH!3 rattled Seattle with a show totally exceeding my high expectations. For one reason or another I had never seen them live, and I had looked forward to a high energy and peppy show. That’s definitely what I got. The other fans got that too, hopping and singing along to every song; I liked these fans. 3OH!3 easily charmed us with a presentation by guys you’d want to hang out with. The most memorably awesome songs were “Two Girlfriends,” “Eyes Closed,” “Touchin’ On My,” “I’m Not Your Boyfriend,” and “My First Kiss.”
When a pair of pink panties were thrown onstage, Foreman tossed them to Motte, who took a sniff then hung them on his keyboard. That’s fan appreciation.
