Show Review & Photos: Blue October & the Unlikely Candidates @ Showbox at the Market

Blue October & the Unlikely Candidates @ Showbox at the Market, 10/6
Show Review & Photos by Heather Fitzpatrick

Blue October headlined Showbox at the Market on Oct 6th. This was the second time I’d seen and shot them, and I’ve gotta say that they are seriously a fun band to see live. Justin Furstenfeld (lead vocalist) gives a great performance, and being able to capture that emotion through a photograph is an incredible experience. Their stage lighting is often dark, a great juxtaposition to their music, as they are know for their tight rock sound and rock ballads that emote love, strength and perseverance. They’ve been producing nearly an album a year since their debut in 2006. Their seventh studio album, Sway, was released in August 2103 and includes a 13-song track list that showcases the sound diversity they are known for. I highly recommend seeing them when they come back through.
