Campfire Ok @ a Mill Street Session

If you currently have nothing to do on Friday night, or even if you do – change your plans – and get out to the Crocodile. Why? Because Campfire Ok is releasing their new album (finally), and the first 200 people to buy a ticket for the show gets the album for free.

Campfire Ok has been slowly releasing new songs and videos off their sophomore album When You Have Arrived for almost a year now, and it’s finally time to unveil the thing. After having heard the songs live for almost two years now, after Strange Like We Are came out in 2011, I am quite excited for the new record. I attended a private Mill Street Session at Smith Tower with Campfire Ok a few weeks ago, and we got to hear all new songs. The Mill Street Sessions are a new endeavor of Projectline Services, and the videos from the session just went live online. It was the second session that Projectline organized, the first one was with Noah Gundersen a few months ago (that one is also online for viewing as well).

I suggest you go check out the live videos (including the interview because there are some good stories that front man Mychal Cohen shared with another Seattle musician and Projectline’s own Kris Orlowski. That way you can get a little preview of the new songs you’ll hear at Friday’s show.)

Campfire Ok’s album is also available for pre-order on iTunes right now if you can’t make it out to the Crocodile on Friday. Sean Nelson and Rafe Pearlman are also on the lineup, if you needed more convincing.
