Puppets, zombies and animals come to the fore in Sunday’s Bumbershoot schedule. While a Thriller Flashmob, Zombie Attack & Zombie Walk hit each day of the festival, bands the Animals and the Zombies play the Starbucks Stage on Sunday. At least two shows will have puppets, plus the addition of Katie Kate makes this an even finer day.

Kithkin @ TuneIn Stage
Groovy sounding Kithkin, a quartet from Seattle, get an early start to the festival with an 11:45 a.m. slot. This band also has a cool website, something I always respect. Some groups neglect their sites.
* Repeat Appearance:
Monday, 2:45 – Drucker
Katie Kate @ TuneIn Stage
Katie Kate makes a completely welcome Bumbershoot return – she appeared at last year’s Bumbershoot – and will get the audience members moving. They won’t be able to help it.
Eric Burdon & the Animals @ the Starbucks Stage
Greats from Northern England, the Animals, will perform some legitimate rhythm and blues. Burdon’s distinctive voice is one of rock’s most recognizable sounds.
Audrey & Nelson: A Puppet Sex Musical @ Theatre Puget Sound Stage
Puppets! There really is nothing better than puppets, except perhaps funny puppets. Seriously.
Natasha Leggero @ Comedy at the Playhouse**
Laff Hole Presents: The Idiot Brotherz @ Comedy at Vera
This show promises puppets – and performances by two Seattle comedians, Devin Badoo and Adam Firestone.
Patton Oswalt & Friends @ Comedy at the Bagley
The Grizzled Mighty @ the Plaza Stage
The Grizzled Mighty will be let loose outside. That’s dangerous.
BRONCHO @ Plaza Stage
Oklahoma’s BRONCHO is another band I recommend you check out. Call it garage rock, that’s fine. It’s good stuff.
The Zombies @ Starbucks Stage
The second great English band of the day, the Zombies, will have an evening slot on the Starbucks Stage. The Zombies should do “She’s Not There.” I love that song.
