It’s now Friday afternoon, and though you might have an idea of what you’ll see on Sunday’s Sasquatch! Festival’s stages, I’ve got a few bands to recommend. Don’t get wet in the rain, or burned in the sun . . . all that stuff. Have fun.
2:10 – 2:55 Youngblood Hawke
Youngblood Hawke partly came about after the demise of my beloved Iglu & Hartly, and has managed to make some catchy good stuff. I saw them at the Neptune earlier this year and dug them.

5:40-6:40 Dropkick Murphys
Punk rock Irish music, that’s what you can get from Dropkick Murphys. God bless this band from Massachusetts.

7:10-8:10 Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros
The unusual and intriguing Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros turn up en masse – seriously, there are like 10 or 12 band members.

8:45-10:00 Elvis Costello & the Imposters
One of the most rightly revered artists, Elvis Costello, brings the Imposters with him on tour! I’m seeing songs such as “Radio Radio,” “Watching the Detectives,” “Chelsea,” “Pump It Up” and “Alison” on set lists . . . oh man.
12:00-1:30 am – Primus 3D
Primus 3D, a visually and sonically exciting project, will end the evening. Perfect.

12:00- 1:15 am The Presets
Another of the world’s best bands, and one of the best bands ever, Australia’s the Presets get a late slot. Their new CD, Pacifica, dips into electronic heaven.

3:05-3:50 Hundred Waters
Florida’s Hundred Waters is touring with the XX, and though their music might fit better with a late night vibe, they’re on during the middle of the day. That’s okay, as time will be all weird anyway by the time Sunday rolls around.
