On Wednesday evening, May 22nd, Back Beat Seattle, along with the Comet, holds its spring showcase (and fourth year anniversary!) with the Confetti Kids, Foreign Orange, Vibe Warrior and Levels at the Comet.
The Confetti Kids, who have been described as a “mix of Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and the Sneaker Pimps,” are a Seattle quartet headlining the 4-band bill. Foreign Orange, from Portland, just released their disco/dance debut, Ghost Vibrations. Seattle’s Vibe Warrior, brainchild of Samuel Glover, is rhythm and blues infused electropop, and local trio Levels brings in some dirty rock.
We hope you can join us as four bands – nearly all completely different from each other and equally awesome – offer a seriously cool midweek musical night.
Doors at 8 PM – $6 – 21+
“Portland disco rat, Foreign Orange not only found the one word that sort of rhymes with orange, but now, has released a smile-inducing dance album that ironically decorates violent metaphors with living personality. Turning around with classic disco structures, Ghost Vibrations is as intuitive as it is uncontrollable. . .” – DINGUS
