Brazil’s Os Mutantes (or, the Mutants) appear at the Triple Door tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th. Led by Sérgio Dias, Os Mutantes has released eleven albums since forming in 1968 – the time ripe for psychedelic rock – with Fool Metal Jack appearing in stores last week. Someone on YouTube has uploaded the entire album, so go have a listen right now (embedded below). Os Mutantes has kept the groovy going.
Show is at 7:30 PM with Capsula opening
Barboza brings Helado Negro, the Floridian artist with an Ecuadorian background, to Seattle on May 9th. For the Thursday evening show I’d expect a strong number of songs off Invisible Life, his new album where he sings in English for the first time (as well as in Spanish, of course!). This guy’s songs are smooth and beautiful. Listen to “Dance Ghost” and see what I mean.
Helado Negro opens for Javelin @ Barboza
