Among a high security presence and enthusiastic fans, Morrissey and his band performed at the Moore on Wednesday evening. Security tried to move audience members who were not supposed to be in the reserved front section, only to have one ebullient male fan run through the aisle and tackle, squish, and pummel a few of us who were following the rules. It was rough stuff. And I expected something of the sort to happen. At least once. Then twice, and it probably happened again all over that place. I’m sure Morrissey’s people see this at every show, but it was intriguing for me – also a fan – to witness all the reverence in which Morrissey is held. It wasn’t just that one guy, it was the expressions on audience members’ faces. And now, photos of Morrissey in Seattle. Based on the three songs I caught, including “Every Day is Like Sunday” and “Shoplifters of the World Unite,” Morrissey looked and sounded great – honestly – and I loved his chartreuse nail color.
