Japan’s Boris and Los Angeles’ Red Sparowes play Neumos tomorrow, Monday August 23rd. The prolific Boris, who has made 14 LPs since 1996, should put on a fast and scorchingly loud show (listen for “Akuma no Uta,” or “The Devil’s Song”), and I’d expect Red Sparowes, which includes guitarist Bryant Clifford Meyer (keyboard player in the now defunct-Isis) to set a great mood. Local band Helms Alee opens.
